This is a great day out with friends and family. Has great facilities were you can have a picnic or BBQ. Great little CAFE for those not bringing their own lunch and Clean toilets. The hike up to the top is well worth it with beautiful views. Only slight detraction was the Alpaca's which are obviously not native. The are left to roam free and as a result leave a lot of poo all over the place, especially the round oval. I wouldn't bring a ball here and have a kick as you will get Shit on you your shoes.
Awesome scenery! An incredible area with great Australian significance and heritage. At the foot of the rock is a cafe and amenities. Also a museum with references to the film. A stiffish walk to the top but nothing too hard. Great photo opportunity at the top!
Great hiking trail to summit. Short and easy. Clean environment. Ample of car park spaces. Clean toilet available at base camp. Sheltered BBQ on-site. Great fields for picnic. Just a lot of insects especially flies.
Definitely worth the drive from Melbourne. Didn't realise you have to pay but that's no problem. Only $10 per car. Great way to spend the day
We had a lovely time with extended family doing a classic picnic at hanging rock. It was a lovely day. We went to the cafe and had a couple of coffees while the younger people in our party climbed the rock. We visited the information centre and the lookout. And we saw kangaroos and llamas and the young children enjoyed time at the play park. Lovely Day out!
