Stayed here and its just awesome! Had a romantic weekend and all the extra detail made it feel special. the gardens are absolutely stunning, such attention to detail. The view of the galaxy and stars at night while listening to the frogs in a nearby dam just blew us away!
We stayed for a weekend at Woodend Cottage and had a cosy and luxury stay. The cottage was beautiful with a very quaint French Country style. We loved the privacy of the cottage and gorgeous garden.
We were fortunate enough to spend nine wonderful nights at the 'Wooden Cottage' in March 2013. My husband, son and my parents all got to experience the magic of this beautiful place. Words can not express how magical this place is. Totally self-sufficient, the pantry is stocked with food, numerous teas, fresh farm eggs, cereals, etc not to mention a bread machine. Very modern kitchen with the charm of yesteryear. The handmade kitchen basin is gorgeous.Very spacious, with four adults and one busy 4 year. With two large baskets packed with games. If the outdoors are not to your liking. So many sounds and sights to take in. Our son loved making up stories on how the trike got up the tree!Our four year old, loved greeting both Eric and Jason the friendly Alpaca's, not to mention collecting apples and carrots for Ruby the pig daily. We weren't able to spot Koori the Kola, but were blessed to spot six Black Crested Cockatoos.Alf was very knowledgeable, passionate and helpful in recommending places to visit.The Wooden Cottage in Woodend is a true gem and a must stay. I would most certainly recommend this place and if we were to ever return to Woodend would certainly want to stay here again. Truly heaven.
My husband and I enjoyed a wonderful weekend at Woodend Cottage. The accommodation was great; relaxing and peaceful. Everything we needed was right there in the cottage...great bath! The location was so close to the Woodend township, we loved the cafes and the Sunday market. Thanks for a wonderful weekend escape. Deb
